Apaltagua Wines in Descorchados 2014

The 2014 edition of the Descorchados Guide was recently released, featuring a complete panorama of the Chilean wine industry, written by Patricio Tapia, the most important wine journalist in Chile. Tapia tasted more than 1500 wines, assigning points as well as selecting wines who were “winners” in their respective categories.

In this edition, 11 Apaltagua wines were reviewed, and 4 were selected in the Ranking of the BEST IN CATEGORY. In the Best Wines of Curicó, our Tutunjian Single Vineyard 2011 received 92 points; in the Ranking of Best Wines of the Valle Central, our premium red-blend, Tutunjian Entre Valles 2011 received 91 points. Our newest wine, the sparkling Apaltagua Costero Extra Brut received 90 points and was included in the ranking of the Best Sparkling Wines. And finally, the Apaltagua Rosé Carmenere 2013 received 88 points, and was listed among the Best Rosé Wines.

We are proud of the results this year, considering the level of expertise of the guide’s author, and the overall high quality of the wines tasted. This is a great way to begin 2014, in which we will continue to make Premium wines, looking for the best terroir in Chile.
