Orchards
All our pomegranate plantations are located between the Maule and Curico Valleys. These places were carefully selected by our professionals because of their climatic and geographical conditions. All our pomegranates are hand-picked, in order to offer our clients the best fruit quality, just at the right point of maturity.

Climate
The Maule and Curico Valleys lie between the Cordillera de los Andes and the Cordillera de la Costa. These valleys have very pronounced day and nighttime temperature differences. The difference can be as much as 14°C (57°F). Rain falls mainly in winter and reaches an annual average of about 700 mm. The summer is dry with an average temperature of about 30°C (86° F). The high pressure coming from the Pacific Ocean produces lower nighttime temperatures.

Production
The fruit with which we make our Vitapome pomegranate juice is hand-picked between the months of April and May. With this type of harvest we ensure that each pomegranate is picked at the precise moment of optimum ripening. After harvest, the aril removal process begins. During this process each aril is separated from the membrane or skin of the fruit, thus achieving a unique taste. It is important to note that the aril removal is done by hand, so that the flavor of the juice it is not affected by other flavors that may change the purity of our product. The arils are then pressed. Through this process the pomegranate juice is obtained. It is 100% natural and without additives of any kind. The juice is pasteurized in order to obtain a product with a long shelf life.
