Apaltagua releases its new Colección Petit Verdot wine

Apaltagua launches its new Colección Petit Verdot, a wine aimed at high-end connoisseurs who know how to enjoy a unique, original and delightful wine.

The wine was produced from grapes grown in our vineyards in the Curico Valley which were harvested at the end of April/early May and aged in barrels for approximately 12 months.

“This wine, which has a deep, ruby-red color, has intense aromas particularly of red and purple fruits such as blackberries and strawberries as well as spices of tobacco leaf and freshly ground black pepper. In the mouth, it is a powerful, well structured and full-bodied wine showing soft and round tannins. The end is very long and velvety,” comments Carolina FranÇa, Chief Winemaker at Apaltagua.

“Colección Petit Verdot represents one more variety to our varied portfolio, adding another option to our demanding consumers in the various markets where we sell our Apaltagua wines. This wine also shows the spirit of innovation and quality of our company, always stressing the various terroirs of the vineyards where we grow our grapes,” adds Rodrigo Abarzua, general manager of the company.

This is the first Petit Verdot produced by Apaltagua. It is important to stress the uniqueness of the wine and its excellent quality and price ratio.  With a price of CLP$16.290, it will be sold in specialized retail stores, Apaltagua stores, Clubapaltagua.cl, restaurants, hotels and in the 40 countries throughout the world where we export our wines.

Viña Apaltagua owns six vineyards in five different valleys, each one with its marked differences in soil and climate characteristics.  Today the company owns vineyards in the Maule, Curico, Maipo, Colchagua (two different properties) and San Antonio Valleys. This varied offer of winegrowing areas allows the company to offer a big assortment of varieties and wines.
