Viña Apaltagua launches “Colección Pinot Noir 2012 Limited Edition”

Viña Apaltagua will launch a new ultra premium wine for the Apaltagua brand this month. The wine is the Colección Pinot Noir 2012, which is aimed at wine drinkers who enjoy the pleasure involved when tasting a unique, entertaining and novel wine, with a great price/quality ratio.

Colección Pinot Noir 2012 is one of more than 20 wines that Apaltagua offers in the 50 markets worldwide where its wines are available. It is made with a new wine concept that Apaltagua has been perfecting. It is the first cold-climate, high-end Pinot Noir of the winery, and is also the first wine to spend time aging in egg-shaped cement tanks brought from France especially for this project.

“Colección comes to maximize our brand, the prestige of our winery and the Valle de San Antonio where we grow our all of our grapes for our cool-climate wines,” explains Rodrigo Abarzúa, General Manager of Viña Apaltagua.
What separates this wine from others is its origin in the Valle de San Antonio-one of the best valleys for the production of Pinot Noir in the country-and the bold mix of fruit and minerality, making it elegant and fresh, with a good potential for aging, but at the same time easy to drink.

“This ultra premium for Apaltagua was made to add variety and specific weight to our brand, as well as fill the requirements of our clients, who come from diverse markets. It also upholds the spirit of the winery, which is always looking for higher quality, developing the full potential of our terroirs, and innovating”, adds Abarzúa.

This new wine will have a limited production of only 7,000 bottles this year, and will be sold in specialty shops, restaurants and hotels in the 50 markets where the winery is present.
