Awards

The consistent excellence of our wines has given us prestige and recognition over time, in the different international markets, which has been reflected in the most important wine publications in the world. In 2010, Apaltagua was the third most internationally award-winning Chilean vineyard. In 2011, the winery was granted 45 medals in international competitions and in 2012 it received 45 awards for its different wines, in countries such as the United States, Belgium, France, England, Chile and Germany, among others.   In 2013 the winery has already been awarded with numerous recognitions.

Apaltagua Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2010
87 points

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva proffers notions of spice box, violets, and black fruits leading to a mouth-filling, spicy, concentrated, unassuming Cabernet which will pair well with burgers and pizza. It is a very good value meant for drinking over the next 3-4 years.

Apaltagua Signature Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

90 points

January 2012

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature spent 18 months in new oak. Aromas of pain grille, earthy minerals, a hint of balsamic, incense, and assorted black fruits set the stage for a ripe, rich, incipiently complex Cabernet. This nicely proportioned effort has enough structure to evolve for 4-5 years and offers a drinking window extending from 2015 to 2023.
