Grape Harvest Wine Festival

As March arrives, the grape harvest begins, a time when our country gets ready to party and celebrate the grape picking season.

Viña Apaltagua takes part in this commemoration, in which, year after year, we honor one of the most sought after products in the world: wine.

Last weekend, the wineries located in Colchagua started the 2018 harvest. As in previous years, this harvest celebration gathered the main wineries from Colchagua, this world acclaimed valley which is known to produce some of the best wines from the country. Thousands of visitors from Chile as well as foreign tourists gathered to feast the initiation of this year’s harvest.

The Grape Harvest Festival in Santa Cruz started on Friday March 2nd at 5pm with a handcraft exhibition and a wine tasting offered by several of the Colchagua wineries.

As part of the Colchagua Wine Route, Apaltagua showcased its entire line of products, starting with its varietals and ending with its super premium and icon wines. “This is the second time we have participated in this festival and this year we experienced a 30% growth in our sales”, commented Claudio Avila from Apaltagua.

Just a few days ahead, on March 22, the Curico Grape Harvest will begin and Apaltagua will once again be one of the main participants. From March 17-19, at the Marchihue Grape Harvest Festival, the winery will have a stand with all of its products, including its sparkling wines and Vitapome, a juice made 100% from pomegranate. Then, from March 23-25, the festival will move to Paralillo where Apaltagua will also be exhibiting its full line of products.
